The dress is short and ruffled at the front and flows into a long lace skirt at the back
Because this pattern was made for wowens, I cut out a size 3/4 and lengthened both the bodice pieces and the skirt to fit my daughter
I also found browsing through all these delights gave me the much needed boost to sew something more frivolous and dramatic, ready for a time when we can socialise again
So here is what Jenny Jo had to say about her Easter projects. I must disagree with her that these beautifully smocked frocks are not heirloom quality. Little girls have worn smocked dresses for hundreds of years and many of those frocks have been passed down the generations to the children and grandchildren of the original owner. That makes them heirlooms! The quality of Jenny Jos smocking and the love she put in each stitch make the dresses even more treasured. Thank you, Jenny Jo, for sharing
