mirroring the age at which Christ endured his Passion

My inspiration was to paint the scene just before Hyrum Smith was shot through the jailors bedroom door

and tonight

the scriptures indicate that Christ may have been as old as two when they arrived

Divine Embrace Forest This place of suffering becameSimilar to Arm's of Mercy, I wanted this image to connect people visually and emotionally to Christ's love. His divine embrace surrounds us on an emotional and spiritual level. As we accept the gift of his divine atonement we immediately feel wrapped up in his arms and comforted by Him who took away death's sting and sin's burden. He has encircled me with this love as I have leaned on his strength and He longs to do the same for you. Reproduced from
